What is the plan?

My tickets say I am leaving Minneapolis on June 23rd for Dallas Texas.

On the 25th of June I shall head to Fort Lauderdale (just the airport) and then onto Bogota, Columbia to start what should be a pretty adventurous time in South America.

My tickets also say that I am returning on Dec 17th, but that depends entirely upon whether or not I am A) enjoying myself and B) employed or have future employment. 
It is possible I would return for the holidays and then head back for a job, but I think it is more likely that if I come home, I will be seeking a substitute position at home, or looking for work in SE Asia, or the Middle East for the next year. 

So what will I do in those 6 months (assuming I don't get a job, volunteer, or have a trip disruption)...  I have researched and would like to see the following places. 
The ones with links(all wikitravel) are the places I am planning on seeing for sure. Many of the others are nearby or are places to see if I have time. 

Its a pretty extensive list, but of course I will be changing it as I go. In past travels, many of my favorite places were suggested by folks on the road. So I want to make sure I hit up some of these spots, but others may fall by the wayside.  

Already I am rethinking part of my path. Initially I was considering crossing the continent from Bolivia through Paraguay to Brazil, then down through Uruguay and back across Argentina to Chile.  After looking at plane tickets from Chile to the Guianas, I've begun to think that heading from Bolivia to Chile and then across, may be a better route. This would have me spending time zigzagging north/south through Argentina, Paraguay and Uraguay, then heading north along the coast of Brazil by bus or plane (potentially adding cities along the Brazilian coast).
